Executive Headmaster – Mr Imtiaz Saib
FROM THE DESK OF THE EXECUTIVE HEADMASTER
In the name of the Almighty, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
The opportunity to educate children is an honour and rare privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility. We strive to be an institution of educational excellence, nurturing minds and enriching hearts. At Orient Islamic School I take this responsibility seriously. I care about the individual and pride myself in the warmth of a community in which all our learners feel valued.
We live in exciting and fast changing times and this means that providing an outstanding, progressive and well-rounded education is more important than ever. Of course examination results matter and at Orient our learners consistently achieve excellent results in all areas of the curriculum, giving them access to the top universities. However, this is just one aspect of an Orient education and learners are supported to show ambition both within and beyond the classroom.
School should be fun and happy children are more likely to be successful. We see it as our responsibility to bring out our learner’s talents, to broaden their interests and to develop their personal qualities. The Orient Institute, the Board and donors have invested heavily to give us state of the art science laboratories, computer centres and a coding and robotics laboratory making us ready to embrace the future.
The Islamiyaat Department nurtures the soul in our daily Surah Yasin programme and our weekly assemblies which leaves our learners ready to make a really positive contribution to their wider community.
Tradition is important here and still shapes our guiding principles but we seek to build on the past while looking to the future. This is, and will remain, a forward-thinking school that enthusiastically embraces innovation and new opportunity.
We are committed to making Orient both a state of the art and a state of the heart Islamic School. I am looking forward to meeting you at school.
Best wishes
