• Honours in Religion and Social Transformation (Dissertation focused on the Islamisation of the Life Skills Curriculum in Grade 3)

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:
• 11 years as a Social Worker/Counsellor and educator at a Special School
• 12 years at Orient Islamic School, teaching in both the Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase
• 2010 to 2013: Appointed Head of Department for the Intermediate Phase
• 2013 – Present: Serving as Principal of the Primary School, overseeing learners and leading a team of educators to deliver quality education
• Key Milestone: Successfully increased school enrollment, transforming the Primary School into a highly sought-after institution.
• Leadership: Led the integration of technology into the curriculum, introducing a Maths & Science Centre with robotics, coding, and STEM education

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Curriculum Development: Overseeing the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment policies for the school
• Staff Coordination: Managing and mentoring 30 educators, providing ongoing professional development
• Student Affairs: Ensuring student wellbeing, supporting learners with diverse needs, and fostering a positive school culture
• School Operations: Responsible for the daily administration of the school, from teacher performance evaluations to managing resources and overseeing extracurricular activities
• Community Engagement: Building strong relationships with parents and the wider community to support student success
• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term plans to drive school improvement and ensure academic excellence
